Korea Trip; Part 1
Visited Korea after so many years. It was my second time going to Korea. Went there for almost 3 weeks! Loved the weather so much, it wasn't too cold because it was just the start of winter. During the end of november to the start of december. I think that would be the best time to go if you're not to fond of the cold weather.
It was only really cold after/when it rains, and usually after it rains, the next day it would snow and thats when its really cold. But not to worry, after rain and snow, the next day would be sunny and nice to walk around the streets. Since its winter time the sun sets at around 5pm.
So it took around 5 hours to fly from Malaysia to Korea, Seoul. Left early in the morning and arrived in the afternoon there. Koreas time is only an hour later so there wasn't any problem.
I went to Gangnam-gu the next day and it was a pretty nice place. It was more modern, it was a city. And it was mostly where all the rich people stayed. There were lots of Plastic Surgery clinics too :p
My korean friend told me that all the girls there would probably look the same hahah.
By the streets you would see branded shops like Gucci,Chanel and more. Also, there would be expensive cars everywhere. My uncle also told me that if you were a novice driver in Gangnam, it would be the worst place to drive.
OH and at Gangnam, I visited JYP and SM entertainment too. hehe.
Inside Gangnam streets.
I stayed in Mapo-gu, hongdae! I Love that place so much. It was really nice and exciting. Hongdae is well known for its street shopping and clubs. And usually lots of youngsters go there to party. Theres also a university there, hongik university. Idk how the students there actually study.
But I love that place, everything was there. The Guesthouse that I stayed in was just a walking distance away and there were mini marts(24/7) nearby so you will never get hungry.
The guesthouse was called 'Travelers Planet', it has the best reviews in TripAdvisor. It was placed in a housing area so it wasnt noisy at night. The rooms are pretty small but if youre on a budget of spending and staying for more than 5 nights than its definitely worth it.

^Those pictures was only around the guesthouse.
but as you walk out from there, the photos below are the streets of hongdae!v
Hongdae streets : Night time
The street food in Hongdae was really good. Its a must to try, its just as good as the ones in restaurants.

Met up with my mums friend too.
My all time favorite Korean dish. Jjimdak!
Go try it, its really good.
Hello Kitty Cafe!
dadie&mumsie
My mum and her teacups.
There was an ice museum at the trick eye museum too.
There was an ice slide ^^
Turned into a kid again.
Left > Right.

Everything was literally ice. I was freezing to death inside but it was so nice. It was like -3 degrees with a blasting ice aircond.
There was a Cat cafe at Hongdae too! My first time going to a cat cafe. The cats roam around freely and you are allowed to play with them while you drink your tea/coffee. It was hands down the cleanest place filled with more than 10 cats! There wasn't like fur flying everywhere or pee/poop around. It was pretty cool.
I really liked this furless cat.
The end.
Ill be posting part 2 of food, shopping and other places I visited soon.
xoxo
